Mahabharat is an epic mythological set in the Indian subcontinent. The story is about the warring cousins of a princely state, Hastinapur - the Kauravas,  who are 100 in number and the Pandavas who are 5 in number; both of whom are staking a claim to the throne.  Starting from the intrigue of their births to their brave exploits at youth; the mysterious marriage of all the five Pandavas to one princess – Draupadi and the legendary vastraharan scene where the Kauravas stage the disrobing of Draupadi in the public court of Hastinapur -  this high octane drama culminates in the great battle of Kurukshetra. Mahabharat has enough depth and drama to keep many more future generations and varied cultures entertained and informed. The series was a huge hit due to its grandeur, opulence and the scale of its production.
