A fantasy tale of the eternal struggle between good and evil. Set in the magical kingdom of Malinga.
The backstory
Centuries back, the fight between the benevolent Devas and the malevolent Asuras was at its peak. No matter how bravely the asuras fought, they were eventually vanquished by the Devas. Their repeated defeat, irked their lord, Marukhyasur, who was aware that the only way to defeat the devas, once and for all was to send his son to earth. All he needed was a womb to plant his seed. Impressed with young Madhumali’s penance, Marukhyasur chose her as the mother of his special child. He endowed her with maleficent cold energies and also gave her wings. In order to protect Marukhyasur’s child in her womb, Madhumali descended on earth and ensnared the king of Mahapuram, Trishanku. A son, Angad, was born to them and she eagerly awaited his rise to power.
Meanwhile, Madhumali’s sister Antara performed penance for Malinga’s god Paramdev. Impressed with her penance, Paramdev blessed her with benevolent heat energies and wings. He also blessed her union with the tribal chieftain through whom she gave birth to a powerful benevolent prince, Chegu.
Current story
The magical, monumental island kingdom of Malinga was destined to be the battlefield in the final battle between the maleficent and benevolent forces. Malinga had neither an army, nor any artillery nor any history of war because it was protected by the magical lake that surrounded it on all sides and was the source of the benevolent heat powers. With Angad growing up to be the handsome prince of Mahapuram, Madhumali sought the hand of Malinga’s eldest princess Pranali for him. But neither was the innocent princess nor her father, King Shiladitya aware that Pranali’s alliance was sought only to take control of Malinga and its magical lake.
Aishwarya, Pranali’s younger sister, learned the truth about Madhumalli and Angad through Antara. And she tried to alert Pranali against marrying Angad. But Pranali was madly in love and refused to believe that Angad was cheating her. Antara, then meets King Shiladitya and informs him of Madhumalli’s evil plan.
Chegu arrives on the day of the wedding. Madhumalli and Angad are shocked. Before the wedding rituals begin, Chegu attacks Angad at the altar. He incites him to use his magical powers so that his real identity is exposed in front of everyone. In order to save himself from Chegu’s magical powers, Angad cleverly uses his mother as his shield. Madhumalli is forced to use her magical powers to stop Chegu’s attack. As soon as she uses the cold powers, her secret is out of the bag. Angad then uses Madhumalli as the scape goat and proves in Shiladiya’s court that Madhumalli is the maleficent one, while he is innocent. Shiladitya punishes her with life imprisonment. Madhumalli is flung inside Malinga’s lake. Due to the heat powers vested in the lake, she dies.
The youngest princess then asks Angad alsoto prove his innocence by juming into the lake. Angad, knowing very well that maleficent energies cannot survive in Malinga’s lake, requests his father, Marukkhyasur’s help who covers his body with a safety net. With the help of the invisible net, Angad enters the waters of the lake and unlike his mother, is not burnt due to its energy.
Shiladitya apologizes to Angad and offers Pranali’s hand to him once again. They marry. On their wedding night, Angad reveals his true colours. Angad plots the killing of his father, Trishanku and puts the blame on Shiladitya. Shiladitya resigns as King of Malinga and nominates Angad as the king of Malinga…
Is it truly the end of benevolent energies on earth?
Will Angad ruin Malinga and raise the maleficent flag of the maleficent energies on its soil?
